In 1997, John Fearon and James Bassant set up Astro Lighting in the basement of James’s house in Sevenoaks, Kent. Their object was to design high quality contemporary lighting for both domestic and commercial applications.

Now employing over twenty people in their offices and warehouse in Harlow, Essex, the company sells to customers in 32 countries around the world, with exports accounting for over 40% of turnover.

Astro specialises predominantly in wall and ceiling lighting, and has achieved a wide reputation as the leading supplier of bathroom lighting in the UK.

The company’s aim is to surpass its customers’ expectations in terms of the design and quality of its products, and also with the service it provides.
